Amen 🙏🏾 Jesus replied, “My light will shine for you just a little longer. Walk in the light while you can, so the darkness will not overtake you. Those who walk in the darkness cannot see where they are going.”
John 12:35 NLT

Just as the sun gives us light to see so we can go about our day, there is another Light that shines illuminating the way out of eternal darkness.

The Bible tells us that Jesus is the Light of the world. As He makes clear in the verse above, His light will only burn a little longer. It is a gift that He offers only for a while. Those that believe in Him and receive His message will not perish.

This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:14 NLT

At dawn, the sun is barely visible. Slowly, its light warms us and brightens the day so we can function properly. It is the same as we get to know the Light of the world and begin to copy Jesus. He draws us out of the lies and falsehoods that darken the truth for us. He guides us to the path that leads to eternal life.

Will You Accept the Gift of Light?
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 ESV

Just as in the beginning, God is giving us the gift of Light. He is trying to separate us from the darkness. His offer won’t last forever. Will you walk in the Light?
