President Ronald Reagan delivered his famous “alien threat” speech on September 21, 1987, while addressing the 42nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.Reagan suggested that an outside threat might unite humanity, famously musing, “I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world”. He then pivotally asked if the “alien force” of war and conflict was already among us.
