I pray for those who suffer from decompression sickness I was asked by portland police department texas on Veterans Day last year at a beautiful Mexican restaurant #WhyDoYouShakeSoMuch it’s called #Decompressionsickness from not being properly treated it’s true I’ve blackedout freediving to many times I’ve had sambas #ShallowWaterBlackout is no joke! Unfortunately I would dive a lot alone! It’s dangerous trust me! It’s also dangerous to freedive alone which I have done as well… as a #waterman a #surfman I know the risks the ocean brings but I also know the rewards of floating peacefully at sea and hunting one fish at a time… it’s why I created #rigsreefclassicspearfishing the tournament I created as a chief a community event to bring active duty veterans law enforcement EMS together and hunt fish have fun eat healthy the ocean process so much for humans I’m glad I was a fisheries law enforcement officer on the Pacific Ocean and GulfOfMexico im glad I was able to work with game wardens state police local police sheriffs USFWS to protect fisheries recreational and commercial near shore deep water and rivers and coastal communities I’m also glad we got to assist in fish hatchery programs wildlife management hunting and conservation on the Oregon coast Columbia river Washington coast Alaska and texas Mexico … it was a beautiful career search and rescue port security cyber security becoming a founding member of @dhsgov was and still is an honor! A retired 100% disabled coast guard veteran I’m thankful it’s true I wish I was able to served from 1998-2028 that would have been 30 years but after 3 lumbar fusions bilateral shoulder wrist reconstruction cervical fusion and knee surgery and testicular reconstruction I had to call it because #HurricaneHarvey almost killed me and mentally drained me! I am thankful for all my doctors and the post care resources from DeptVetAffairs they took me from a 20 year career on 26 prescriptions to no pills and acupuncture chakra activation taught me to learn to manage an anxiety depression insomnia ptsd traumatic brain injury through individual care plans and group therapy I’m thankful America healed me but it took me asking America for help! Never be afraid to ask your community for help! Your city state and nation! You served it’s there privilege and honor to assist you I can say that about Corpus Christi texas the police the veterans affairs the sheriffs and state police portland pd Nueces county san Patricio county the veterans programs in south texas saved my life! I’m thankful for that texas and Americas government for making sure I got my USCG VaPAY Social security disability fast! Because I earned it! Never be afraid to get your beautiful benefits you earned them never be afraid to ask for help they will gladly assist you! I’m thankful for that and the people I met in Cancun and Mérida so far! A lot of law enforcement a lot of military and men and women who are retired and receive similar benefits the world will prove when you ask for help never forget that don’t give up on your life it’s not worth it!
