I’m celebrating 10 years in Texas I remember transferring here to be the RFO Chief. It was definitely a Change from the Surf the Lifeboats the Search and Rescue.
I still remember rolling into Corpus Christi after traveling from Astoria Oregon. What a journey it has been it’s official 10 years in Texas. Home was definitely where the coast guard sent us. I’ve enjoyed my time here in Texas I got to spend 4-6 weeks a year in South Padre. A Few weeks a Year in Port O’Connor, & Port Aransas. A lot has happened to Corpus since I have been here. I even got to spend a year in Sabine Pass. From oil clean up, to Hurricane Rescues offshore to the ICW. Hill Country to Big Bend. Austin to Dallas Houston to Home I love texas I’m glad the Coast Guard sent me here. I’m more sober than ever and despite all surgeries do my best to over come pain and enjoy everyday I can.
God Bless. I’m Thankful for Family. I’m thankful for Friendship. #10yearschallenge #Texas #Surfman374
