In February 2025, Luna was appointed by Speaker Mike Johnson to lead a House Oversight Task Forceon declassification of federal secrets,[59] instigated by president Trump’s executive order on “Declassification of Records Concerning the Assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.”[60] During September 2025 the scope of the task force included a hearing on “UAP transparency and whistleblower protection”.[61] During her inquiry into the assassination of John F.
