provide critical satellite communication, GPS, and electromagnetic warfare support to ground-based commandos. 

Key Special Operations Units & Commands

• Space Force Special Operations Command (USSF-SOCOM): Established in 2025 to deliver specialized space personnel and capabilities to units responsible for global campaigning. It serves as the service’s component within U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
• Space Force Team Sentinel: A specialized team established in February 2024 under Special Operations Joint Task Force Central (SOJTF-C). It provides integrated, full-spectrum space-based capabilities specifically for special operations in Central and South Asia.
• Space Force Special Operations Element (USSFSOE): Based at MacDill Air Force Base, this element coordinates Guardian support for major exercises like Emerald Warrior. It focuses on providing space-related intelligence and specialized expertise to special operations forces. 

Specialized Capabilities Provided

Rather than traditional combat, these teams focus on the “Cyber-Space-SOF Triad,” converging digital and orbital effects to give special operators a strategic advantage. 

• Electromagnetic Warfare: Disrupting adversary communications while protecting friendly signals.
• Orbital Warfare: Maneuvering satellites to preserve freedom of access and deny it to enemies, primarily led by Space Delta 9.
• Tactical Integration: Providing real-time satellite imagery and GPS-based navigation support to units like Navy SEALs and Army Green Berets in contested environments. 

Training and Collaboration

Guardians in these roles often train alongside other services’ elite units. For instance, Space Force personnel have participated in “spur rides” with the 1st Infantry Division and conducted joint training with the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC)to emulate degraded GPS and communication environments.
