Definitely love Corpus Christi Texas @uscg transfered me here in 2011, was the RFO RECOM Chief in the Enforcement Shop Sector Corpus Christi Texas got to work with every state and federal agency militarily DOD DHS DOJ from 2011-2018 between South Padre Island and Sabine Pass texas it was a blast unfortunately due to hurricane Harvey and injuries I still haven’t recovered from I retired from Station Sabine Pass Texas of the Chief of Operations was a blessed career from Gold Medal at WhiteHouse to West Coast Celebrations AtlusTendo to ChesterRBender Award for to work with senators Congress city and state police run hurricane rescues surf rescues missions secured multi ports upgraded multi programs trained tons of Coasties and agencies in our use of force, and how we defend America was a blast being part of TheGlobalWarOnTerrorism fight Gun Trafficking Drug Trafficking Human Trafficking it was a job, but more of a LifeStyle from Big Waves to GoldMedal At WhiteHouse we easily saved between 30-50,000 lives all of us.. your only as good as your crew or team it was always the best part working with the diversity we all offered that’s what I loved most about the @uscg smallest most underfunded under represented but got the work done globally each year with just over 35,000 total force give or take was an honor protecting the southern border Pacific Ocean gulf of America Bering Sea got to work in Alaska Oregon Washington Texas and with global operations that expanded from the us to Mexico Canada central South America Antarctica North Pole Middle East China Russia Africa got to train with foreign nations partner nations and see things you’ll never believe specially waves they get huge! Was worth it no matter how many surgeries I had was totally worth it! Loosing everything afterwards that’s a different story let’s just say yeah it sucks specially when ya end up homeless #dmr which nothing left but here’s to staying alive in this wild world
