In America, various industries have close ties to government regulators.

The pharmaceutical industry is one of the most notable and most troubling.

Last year alone, “Big Pharma” spent over $373 million on lobbying—much more than any other industry.

While the Constitution certainly protects the rights to free speech and to petition the government, it was never intended to grant the special privileges that are characteristic of today’s bureaucratic, administrative state.

In addition, Big Pharma’s reputation has come under attack in the wake of America’s opioid epidemic—since 1999, more than 600,000 people have died from opioid overdoses in the U.S. and Canada alone—and the COVID pandemic. Trust me after 10 major surgeries learning to walk again twice and a 20 year mission military career I’m not posting this to attack #bigpharma I’m posting this to say #prescription #drugs even as #prescribed almost killed me! #BeAware #talktoyourdoctor at the end of my military career i had been prescribed 26 prescriptions so from 1998-2018 I was often times over medicated which directly affected my #HomeLife #WorkLife yes the #surgeries helped! Yes I needed the medication at that time! But let me tell ya since 2018 to date it’s been a hell of a #purge to #purify my #physical #spiritualmental #relationship t self life! Since 2020 I’ve taken a #holisticapproach been very open with the #department of #veteranaffairs to include #acupuncture #deeptissue #massage as well as advanced #meditation training and a way more pure lifestyle trust me 3x’s I tried to blow my candle out with a handful of pills that were prescribed I’ve never had a #drugaddiction definitely not an #alcoholic don’t believe n #familyviolence but I will say this my worst moments in life came from over medication 💊 this has been very tracked to include working with my flight surgeon n active duty the side effects where horrible the outcomes a #lifetime of #pain and suffering but never gave up! And now since 2019 #NoPills 2020/21 #noalcohol and 04/21/2022 #NoCBD just tons of walking a shitload of open #communication being honest with myself and really focusing on my inner work ♠️

But honestly if I have any advice at all open communication work hard to keep your home life your sanctuary and be honest with your body. The units the team work the United feeling when you complete the mission it was worth it the side effects definitely will kick your ass and definitely could be hard on the spouse and children unfortunately the family outside your home don’t know the full truth same with a lot of the friends along the way.
