TheGoodShepherd protects His sheep from evil.

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4 NIV).
The Bible tells us that God is stronger than any evil power. You can find protection in the presence of God. Staying close to our Shepherd keeps us safe.

Recognizing evil protects us from harm.
“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good” (Romans 12:9 NIV).
Are you surprised that love hates evil?
Evil here means harmful in effect. Some things may be evil for me but not for you. Credit cards help some people keep track of their spending, but they tempt others to overspend and create bondage to debt. Do certain people, types of entertainment, or situations cause you to stumble or suffer? Then, as The Message puts it, “Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good.”

God brings good out of the evil sent against you.
“Even though you planned evil against me, God planned good to come out of it” (Genesis 50:20 GW).
Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery. God used his brothers’ evil schemes to get Joseph into Egypt where he could save the nation of Israel and through them the bloodline of Jesus! When God allows evil to touch us, we can trust that He is using it for His glory and our eternal good. #You can believe the Bible promise that God can turn for good what was meant for evil.

We overcome evil with good.
“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21 NIV).
The natural human response is to return evil for evil. But the #Bible says the way we overcome evil is to do good. Otherwise we become like those who are evil. When we do good, God becomes our #avenger and settles the score.

Deuteronomy 30:3
He always keeps His promises and God, your God, will restore everything you lost (Deuteronomy 30:3, MSG). The Lord says, I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts (Joel 2:25, NLT). If He did it for me, He’ll do it for you. “#Power: #TheAceofSpades has long been a symbol of #strength and #authority. Moreover, many armed forces have adopted this emblem to signify certain units or operations that are deemed significant.” For centuries indigenous people throughout the world have known that to fully explore the depths of the Soul and reunite with Spirit we must go on a spiritual journey into the unknown lands within ourselves.

In many ancient cultures, they had Elders and Shamans to encourage and oversee these journeys toward a #deeper #spiritual existence. Sadly, these days in our own #culture, we have lost such #sacredrites and #rituals. Instead, #orthodoxreligion has replaced #livingspirituality with a #theoreticalgod, dismissing, and #outlawing #personalexperimentation and #union with #theDivine. There are many paths to the top of #themountain, but the view is always the same.

There’s a reason why you have something called #intuition (aka. your #inner #tuition). The answers are always within you and it’s your #sovereignright to take what #resonates and leave the rest.

With that being said, I’m attempting the #mammoth undertaking of #simplifying and distilling everything I know, have #experienced, and have #researched from a wide range of perspectives on #spirituality – all to help you find your own answers.
