The Bible says in Matthew 5:8, blessed are the #pureinheart, for they shall see God. #Intenseheat has the ability to purify silver or gold. It brings the impurities to he top, called dross, where it can be skimmed off and removed. Similarly, it can take intense heat from #fierytrials to purify our hearts.
God spoke this analogy through the prophet Malachi to describe how he #purifiesourhearts. Just as a refiner’s fire, God will draw out our dross – our #broken, #sinfulways – so that we will #stand #pure and #righteous before him.
In this Bible version, the idea of fire or #intenseheat is expressed giving us a #graphicillustration of #Godspurifyingprocess. But in most other Bible versions of this verse the word test is used to describe the process #God uses to #purifyaheart. It’s the tests of #life that bring our #selfishnature to the #surface.
