Power Of Choice

The evil angels, like the good ones, were all given the power of choice or moral judgment. They were placed under a period of probation where they could decide whom they would follow.

Left Their Rightful Place

Under the #leadershipofSatan, certain #angelssinned and left their rightful place. The sin of these evil angels was their revolt against the #Lord and #His #commandments. #TheBiblesays.

And the angels who did not keep their own position, but left their proper dwelling, He has kept in eternal chains in deepest darkness for the judgment of the great Day (Jude 6).

They left their proper habitation – the reason for which they were created. When they chose to do this and sin against God, it was at that point they became evil angels. They were not created as evil beings.

SinInHeaven

The Bible says that the heavens are now unclean because of the sin of these angels.

God puts no trust even in His holy ones, and the heavens are not clean in His sight (Job 15:15).

NotToBeTrusted

Scripture tells us not to put our trust in these #angels.

Even in #Hisservants He puts #notrust, and #Hisangels He #charges with #error (Job 4:18).

The evil of this race furthered the #wickedness of men and led to the #Flood, but even that event did not put an #end to human and divine wickedness. #Thecampaign to build the #TowerofBabel showed that evil and #rebellion were still rampant among men and #gods alike.

When God created the angels they were sinless, holy, beings. The angels that sinned were originally given the power of choice. Though they were created good, they used their choice to rebel against God. In doing so, these perfect beings abandoned the purpose for which they were created. They became the evil angels that the Bible speaks about. Their fall brought them spiritual and moral ruin and they will pay the price for their sin for all eternity.

TheyWillBow

Though they will never be saved, there will come a day when the evil angels will bow before the Lord.

Therefore God also highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that #JesusChrist is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11).

NoSalvationForThem

Scripture teaches that God has provided salvation for fallen #humanity.

Who would have all people to be #saved, and come to the #knowledge of the #truth (1 #Timothy 2:4).

However there is no salvation for these fallen angels. Paul wrote.

and through #Him [#Jesus] #God was pleased to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on #earth or in #heaven, by #making #peace through the blood of His cross (Colossians 1:20).

Not To Be Trusted

Scripture tells us not to put our trust in these angels.

Even in His servants He puts no trust, and His angels He charges with error (Job 4:18).

Flagrant Sin

Their wickedness is confirmed in their flagrant sin and rebellion against the Lord. After the final judgment of God, the following words will be spoken.

Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy (Revelation 22:11).

They will remain evil forever

The idea of a grim reaper has not only pervaded #popular #cultures, such as in books like #TheBookThief and #Scythe, but it has also taken a featured spot in many religions. #Judaism, for instance, attributes this role to Azrael, an angel of destruction. Islam has a name for this figure, “#MalakAlmawt,” as do other religions such as #Hinduism.

Does #Christianity have a similar figure by a different name? Does a sole #AngelofDeath exist, realizing the idea of the Grim Reaper?

Some say the #ArchangelMichael plays some role in the process from passing from this world to the next, but no #Bibleverse or passage supports this notion. In Scripture, Michael appears to #fightspiritualbattles and carry out the #commandsofGod, none of which seem to indicate a #grimreaper role. The name #Azrael never appears in the Bible as well.

Although angels may appear to cause death in some cases in the Bible, we should make a note that no sole angel (or #demon) can do so without God willing it. #Job makes it clear God has #numberedourdays, but He alone chooses when we reach the end of our #life on earth (Job 14:5). When looking at #Scripture, it appears #angels do have a hand in some instances of #death and destruction.

For instance, an angel of the #Lord in 2 #Kings 19:35 goes out at night and kills 185,000 Assyrians. Considering the #Assyrians made themselves out to be #enemies of God’s people, #God willed this #angel to commit such a mass #destruction.
